CONDITION REPORT: Mint overall condition. The case has devloped a rich patina over time and the watch is accordingly in untouched condition.

NOTES: According to a preliminary check with VC, this is indeed a reference 43030, Caliber 1120 SQ delivered in 1988.
Skeletonisation has long been part of Vacheron Constantin’s decorative tradition, involving the reduction of a movement to its essential structure while preserving its functionality.
The present reference 43030, dating to circa 1988, is powered by the ultra-thin calibre 1120/1 automatic movement. In this example, the movement has been extensively openworked, exposing the gear train and oscillating weight while retaining the calibre’s underlying symmetry.
With no conventional dial, time is indicated solely by the hands, allowing the movement to dominate the design. The yellow gold case remains understated, placing emphasis on the architecture and finishing of the openworked calibre.
