DIAL: Black matte dial with beveled date aperture at 3 o’clock, tritium hour markers. Mercedes hour and pencil minutes hand, lollipop seconds. Submariner printed in red.

CASE: 40mm, stainless steel with black 60 min rotating bezel and acrylic glass with loupe for date at 3 o’clock.

MOVEMENT: Caliber 1575, Self-winding mechanical movement with 26 jewels

BRACELET: Rolex stainless steel Oyster fliplock 9315/380, Clasp Code M8 (1988, later service replacement)

CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition. The dial is flawless with nice patina on the indexes. The case has been lightly refinished with pinholes still sharp and original bevels still visible.

NOTES: The Submariner 1680 “Red Sub” MK4 marks one of the final evolutions of the early red-text Submariner era — where tool watch function started turning into vintage icon status.⁠
