The Jaeger LeCoultre E857 Deep Sea Alarm was launched in 1959 and just over 1,000 pieces were produced between 1959 and 1962. It was the first alarm watch made for diving. A useful feature for signalling a diver to be cautious of air reserves.
Two versions were made, the US version was branded LeCoultre like this one and had Deep Sea Alarm written on the dial (and have US import code on the movement), while the Jaeger LeCoultre branded European (or worldwide) version did not have this writing and had a more plain design.
