DIAL: Black glossy dial with 3-6-9-12 radium luminous hour markers. White pencil hands with luminous center. White spear tip center seconds hand. LIP signature above Blancpain and Fifty Fathoms. Rotormatic . Incabloc in the circle at 6 o'clock.
Swiss at bottom of the dial.

MOVEMENT: Caliber AS 1361, Automatic, 17 jewels (LIP signed rotor)

CASE: 41mm, black bakelite bi-directional 60-minute bezel with radium luminous markers. Acrylic crystal.
LIP signed caseback and dust cover.

BRACELET: Leather Strap

CONDITION REPORT: The dial is in excellent condition with 100% original radium indexes and hands, both with a nice cream patina. The case is in super crisp and untouched condition with little no signs of wear. The factory red wax seal is still partially visible on both parts of the double caseback. The bakelite/radium bezel is overall very nice and original with one small fissure at 12 o'clock.
This watch bears the LIP quadruple signature on the dial, caseback, dust cover and rotor, making it an all coherent and matching example.

NOTES: LIP is a French watchmaker and retailer. The LIP brand was founded in 1908 by the Lipmann family, a multi-generational French watchmaking family. Interestingly enough, in 1904, Ernest Lipmann worked with Pierre and Marie Curie to find a material to be able to be able to see the time at night or in the dark. The Curies had discovered radium in 1898 and in collaboration with LIP, they applied this material to make the first phosphorescent dials. Rayville SA, parent company of Blancpain watches at the time, collaborated with LIP from 1954-1957 for the development of luminous diving watches as well retailing them in France.
