The Ultimate Speedmaster Exhibition / A heritage of passion
To celebrate the first anniversary of their vintage watch shop in Old Town Geneva, Roy and Sacha Davidoff decided to share their passion for watches with their clients, seasoned collectors and friends. In collaboration with Grégoire Rossier and Anthony Marquié authors of Moonwatch Only, they organized a unique exhibition: "The Ultimate Speedmaster Exhibition" on October 28, 2015.
More than 40 Omega Speedmasters among the rarest in the world, with their "tropical" or "exotic" dials, limited editions and prototypes dating from 1957 to 1991, could be admired. For over half a century, the Omega Speedmaster has been at the heart of many great moments in history. One of the most striking was the moon landing with the model on the wrist of Buzz Aldrin in 1969. A legend was born.
More than a year of collecting and researching around the world was necessary for the Davidoff brothers to assemble this exhibition. The ties binding the two brothers to the Speedmaster go back to Roy as a teenager when he received one from his father. As for Sacha, he immediately became an enthusiast and over the years a true expert on the subject. To immortalize this anniversary, a book dedicated to this magnificent exhibition will be published in a few weeks.
The Davidoff brothers explained to their 300 invitees in detail the particularities of each of the presented models. So it was no surprise when Sacha announced during the evening, as most exposed watches had already been pre-sold.
The theme of the evening was therefore the appreciation for beautiful watchmaking, a shared passion between generations, linking a father and his sons.

Afin de célébrer le premier anniversaire de leur boutique de montres vintage en vieille ville à Genève, Roy et Sacha Davidoff ont décidé de partager leur passion pour l'horlogerie avec leurs clients, collectionneurs et amis.
En collaboration avec Grégoire Rossier et Anthony Marquié auteurs de Moonwatch Only, ils ont organisé une exposition unique « The Ultimate Speedmaster Exhibition » le 28 octobre 2015. Plus de 40 Speedmaster parmi les plus rares au monde, avec leur cadran « tropical » ou « exotique », des éditions limitées et certains prototypes datant de 1957 à 1991 ont pu être admirées. Pendant plus d’un demi-siècle, l’Omega Speedmaster a été au cœur de nombreux grands moments de l’histoire. Un des plus marquants a été l'alunissage du modèle au poignet de Buzz Aldrin en 1969. Une légende était née.
Plus d’une année de travail et de recherches à travers le monde a été nécessaire aux frères Davidoff pour monter cette exposition. Les liens liant les deux frères aux Speedmaster remontent à l'adolescence de Roy lorsque ce dernier a reçu, de son père, une de ces fameuses toquantes. Quant à Sacha, il devient aussitôt fan et au fil des années un véritable expert en la matière.
Afin d’immortaliser cet anniversaire, un livre sur cette magnifique exposition sera édité d’ici quelques semaines.
Les frères Davidoff ont expliqué à leurs 300 invités en détails les spécificités de chaque modèle présent. Ce n’était donc pas une surprise lorsque Sacha a annoncé durant la soirée que la plupart des montres exposées avaient déjà été pré-vendues.
Le mot d’ordre de la soirée fut donc le goût de l’horlogerie, une passion partagée entre génération, entre père et fils encrées dans les gênes.
