OMEGA Speedmaster 105.012-64, Tropical Dial, 1966
Serial: 24013093
Circa: 1966
Reference No.: 105.012-64

CASE: 42mm, stainless steel, steel with black tachymeter bezel, Seahorse and Speedmaster engraved on the case back

DIAL: Brown 'tropical' matte dial with applied logo, tritium hour markers

MOVEMENT: Calibre 321, hand-wound column wheel chronograph, 17 jewels

CONDITION REPORT: The dial has faded evenly over time to a chocolate brown color. This dial is the correct 'high swiss' configuration for a 105.012 reference. The tritium lume on the dial is intact and has darkened slightly over time with a nice cream patina. The minutes hand lume appears to have been refilled at some point with tritium, while the other hands retain their original tritium.
The case appears to have been polished, however remains thick, the double bevel case back and logo are clearly visible. The bezel has faded to a blue color over time and shows some some wear, small scratches and slight dent between 80-85 on tachy scale, but overall looks good and has no major chipping.

Notes: In the early 'professional' series of Speedmaster with lyre lugs the reference 105.012 was used in production of cases dated form 1963 to 1966.
