Omega Speedmaster*** 105.003-65*** 1967
OMEGA Speedmaster Straight Lug Ref. 105.003-65, rare bracelet 1035/1501, Circa 1967
Serial: 24532758
Circa: 1967
Reference No.: 105.003-65

CASE: 39mm, stainless steel, black ‘DO90’ tachymeter bezel, straight lugs

DIAL: Black dial with applied Omega logo, tritium hour markers & T SWISS MADE T printed at the bottom

MOVEMENT: Calibre 321, hand-wound column wheel chronograph, 17 jewels

BRACELET: Omega stainless steel rare transitional 1035/1501 bracelet dated 4.66

CONDITION REPORT: The dial and bezel are all original and mint. The case is slightly polished, but lugs are still thick and show original bevels. The hippocampus on the case back is clearly visible. The crown logo appears to be a later service one. All hands are original and only the luminous material inside the chronograph seconds hand appears to have been refilled or does not react to UV. The bracelet is in good shape except one stretch link which has a broken spring, but still a very good length and comfortable wear.

NOTES:
The 105.003 reference is nicknamed 'Ed White' after the astronaut who famously wore this reference into space in 1965. The straight lug case was discontinued in 1967-68 at the end of the production of the 321 caliber and are not only rare, but highly collectible.
