NOTES: The watch comes an archives extract from IWC (2017) confirming delivery August 27, 1936 and this watch is a 'special watch for pilots'
This extremely rare pilot watch is rarely seen and especially in original condition such as this one. The Mark IX is a nickname versus actual military order and the subject of debate because there is no proof of it being a military issue watch. It is rather considered a special civilian pilot watch as per confirmation by the archives from IWC.
