MOVEMENT: IWC caliber 8541, automatic, 17 jewels

DIAL: Black with applied luminous tritium hour markers, date window at 3 o'clock

BRACELET: Stainless Steel Gay Frères-IWC brick link bracelet

CONDITION REPORT: The dial is in excellent condition free of damage with all tritium luminous markers intact but darkened over time. The hands are original and also intact tritium. Case is in original condition and unpolished.
The original Gay Freres bracelet is in excellent condition and shows almost no stretch and is full links.
Overall, the watch is in great condition and running perfectly.
The movement was fully overhauled in August 2020.

NOTES: IWC released the Aquatimer in 1967 and is still an iconic part of their collection today.
The reference 812 AD has twin crowns, typical of 60's diver watches; one to set the time and the other to set the inner rotating 60-min diving bezel.
IWC's in-house calibre 8541 with the fabled Pellaton winding system is the same caliber found ‘Ingenieur’ references at this time.
